Seafile-Help: Roles in Seafile

There are currently three different roles defined in Seafile with the following rights:

Employee

• 100 GB of storage space
• No restrictions on the use of Seafile
• Authorization to invite external users as guests

Student

• 20 GB of storage space
• No restrictions on the use of Seafile
• No authorization to invite external users as guests

 
Guests

• No own storage space
• Use Seafile only if an employee shares libraries or folders

The assignment to the groups is carried out by the respective university or collage. You always receive the status Guest if you are not a student or an employee of a higher education institution in Rhineland-Palatinate.
